Here is the story of our brand
The Early Years An, Idea that Worked
In 2007, Sahil Mehta knew he was onto something. After successfully graduating from Columbia University and entering into the fray of the the medical school application system, he quickly realized what admissions people were looking for. Great grades and MCAT scores were important, but medical school admissions members know that this does not make a great physician. They wanted students who had a story, students who were diversified, students who could look at a patient and say “it’s going to be okay,” and who would become healers.
Slow and Steady Growth
From the start, MedSchoolCoach was not focused on profits. It was focused on students. We took on a limited number of students every year. Every year, we had more students that wanted to work with us, but we said no.
Why would a business turn down clients? Simple, this wasn't a business in the traditional sense. We did not worry about profits, we worried about providing awesome service to every student who came our way.

As time marched on, we kept getting bigger. We invested $0 into marketing. Instead, we invested into our students who referred their friends, who then told their friends.
Before long, we had put a few hundred students into medical school, and then a few thousand. They kept in touch with us, asking for help through their entire medical school journey. So we decided it was time to pursue it. By creating MCAT and USMLE/COMLEX products that focused on the same principles as our admissions coaching, we continued the tradition of providing great service.
